Love Connection?

Prompt 1

A time in my life when I acted impulsively without thinking the situation and options through was when I broke the vase in my dining room. The situation was about a couple years ago. It was three days after my brothers birthday and their was still cake. I was feeling hungry so I went to eat it. While i was sitting on my island eating the cake though, my brother came down the stairs and he saw me. I saw anger on my face that I had never seen before.

He yelled,”stop eating the cake, that’s mine”. Even with his instruction I still went on eating so he ran down the stairs and started to charge at me. Because of this I started to run around the house, through the living room, through the kitchen, through the dining room, through the family room, through the basement, down the stairs, up the stairs, and finally I reached my bedroom and I locked the door.

He was still persistent so once I entered my room he started to chase me around. Trying to slow him down I tried to pull down a chair in my dining room. While I was doing this though I tripped and fell hitting my mom’s vase. The soil and the flowers went everywhere. Most importantly the vase was shattered into pieces.

What launched me into making me decision so quickly was the fear after I saw my brothers face after eating the slice of cake and the adrenaline rushing through my body as I ran. I had to make split second decisions or my brother would have caught up to me I didn’t have time to think everything through.

The consequences that I faced were that my parents were very angry at not just me but my brother and I got my Xbox got taken away. What I would have done instead with a second chance is I most likely wouldn’t have eaten the cake knowing all the baggage that would come with it in the future. The road not taken would probably have taken me to where the rest of my family believes that I am more responsible and less selfish.
