In my latest reading, we saw that Peeta and Katniss decided to train together. We also see Peeta’s lack of confidence in his own skills as he acknowledge’s Katniss as being better and having greater skill than him. A major event that happened was as Katniss was practicing with her new bow, she notices that the game makers are only paying attention to the pig they are about to eat. So Katniss shoots a bow that goes directly through the apple in the pig’s mouth.

After this Katniss begins to fear what might happen to her and starts to get paranoid that know she will get a low score from training. At the dinner table Katniss is shocked to hear that she got an 11 score while Peeta got a score of 8( scores range from 1 to 12). Katniss later goes to talk with a girl named Gale whom she had a familiar background with.

During the talks, Katniss and Gale became an alliance. After seeing the discussions Peeta gets angry and decides to tell Haymitch that he wants to train on his own. Filled with anger at dinner Katniss starts to throw the dishes and cutlery leading to her even bleeding. So when the avox she knows comes over to wipe her off, she slips the message that she should’ve saved her.
